Rick has been playing and singing since he was 10 years old. His musical tastes were greatly influenced by the music his older brother and sisters listened to as he was growing up, which provided an eclectic range from Simon and Garfunkel to the Doors to Jesse Collin Young.

Rick has played with SPAM, Lisa and the Pretenders, Monster Johnson and the Perpetrators, Kelly and the Personalities, Little Black Book, Algorythm, Latin Funk Express, but enjoys playing with LPR best of all.

"Playing in a 4 piece rock and roll band and playing the music that we play really gives you an appreciation for the talent of the songwriters that we cover", explains Rick. "Our arrangements try to adhere to the origianl as much as practical, but there is always space to add new insights into the songs."

Rick plays Hammond XK-3 through a modified Leslie 45, a GEM PRO-2 through Roland Amplification

Rick plays modified Pearl Export Guitar through a heavlily modified VOX AC-15 amplifer.

Rick likes modifying things and one of his hobbies is keeping a lot of vintage musical gear up and running.
